GAME DAY RECAP: October 4, 2026

Mount Academy (1) (CCM) vs Stanstead College (4) East

Stanstead College remained unbeaten on the season, surviving an early Mount Academy jab and pulling away behind a two-goal effort from Dominik Kapoun (2G) to win 4-1 on the road. Thomas Bryan (1G) opened the scoring for Mount Academy less than eight minutes in, but Kapoun answered before the first intermission to level things. Sean Dwyer (1G) put Stanstead ahead for good early in the second, and Kapoun’s second of the night extended the margin before the break. Matus Hornak (1G, 1A) added insurance on the power play in the third to cap the scoring. Jaxon Ford made 22 saves for the win, while Connor Alward stopped 43 of 47 in the loss.

Shawnigan Lake School (3) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (1) Women’s U18 Prep

Shawnigan Lake School handed previously unbeaten Calgary International their first loss of the season Sunday, holding on for a 3-1 win fueled by a three-point effort from both Tess McGee (1G, 2A) and Ziah Dennis (1G, 2A). McGee opened the scoring on the power play less than six minutes in, and Dennis doubled the lead before the midway point of the first, with the two combining on each other’s goals. Molly Crockett (1G) got CIHA on the board on the power play late in the frame to keep things within reach, but Noe Crookham (1G, 1A) restored the two-goal cushion shorthanded early in the second, with McGee and Dennis each picking up another assist. Neither side found the net in a scoreless third, and Shawnigan Lake School’s defense held firm the rest of the way. Jordyn Kemp made 41 saves for the win, while Brooklyn Raczynski was pulled late in the third after allowing three on 42 shots faced.

North Shore Warriors (0) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (3) Women’s U18 Prep

South Alberta Hockey Academy stayed red-hot with a 3-0 shutout of North Shore Warriors, piling up 60 shots and riding a two-goal effort from Myla Motz (2G) to extend their unbeaten start to the season. Motz opened the scoring midway through the first, set up by Avery Moore (1A), and doubled her tally in the second with helpers from Darby Amundson (1A) and Teylor Crocker (1A) to make it 2-0 heading into the third. Sara Murdoch (1G) added insurance late in the frame, assisted by Maria Facca (1A) and Riley Bourque (1A), to cap the scoring. Kiley O’Connor was perfect in net, stopping all 21 shots she faced for the shutout, while Emma Ward had a gritty afternoon in the North Shore crease, turning aside 57 of 60 shots in the loss.

Okanagan Hockey Academy (2) vs Edge School (6) Women’s U18 Prep

Edge School stayed red-hot on the road Sunday, erupting for four second-period goals en route to a 6-2 win over Okanagan Hockey Academy. Kaitlyn Harvey (2G) opened the scoring for the home side, but Edge answered in a flurry, with Alice Rapp (1G), a two-goal effort from Jocelyn Bodnar (2G) sandwiching Harvey’s second tally, and Sierra Sandilands (1G) all finding the net to turn the opening minutes of the second period into a track meet, leaving Edge up 4-2 before the frame was even half over. Kyla Pappas (1G, 2A) capped the Edge scoring on the power play in the third, and Kate Pisarczyk (1G) added one more to round things out.

Edge School (7) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (1) U17

After narrowly edging Pilot Mound out in a shootout on Saturday, Edge School would take control in their Sunday matchup. A three-goal first period set the tone for Edge. Jude Sinclair would get one back for Pilot Mound early in the second, but Jaret Otto (2G, 1A) would restore that three-goal lead soon after. Zack Salem and Satoshi Takeda (1G, 1A) would record back-to-back shorthanded goals to close out the 7-1 victory for Edge.

Okanagan Hockey Ontario (3) vs Bishop’s College School (5) East

Ben McKinlay smoked one off the back bar to spark a three-goal first period for Bishop’s. Early in the second, Milan Jomphe (1G, 1A) found Jayden-Amari Danois (2G, 1A) with a lengthy stretch pass, making no mistake on the breakaway for OHO’s first. Elias Matl restored Bishop’s three-goal cushion later in the frame, a goal proving to be very crucial as Jomphe and Danois would bury another two for OHO. Bishop’s would hang on to their one-goal lead in the third, with Matej Strapina adding the empty-net insurance late in the game. Max Steele (41/44) would play a big part in his Bishops’ debut, recording 41 saves in the 5-3 victory.

Fort Erie International Academy (9) vs CIH Academy (2) East

Dmitril Kuzmin led the charge for FEIA in their final showcase matchup with CIH Academy, recording a hat-trick and four points. Sven Schmid (2G) and Raphael Labrecque (2G) would each pot a pair of goals in the victory as well. Denis Zhemchugov would record both goals for CIH Academy.

Stanstead College (CCM) (3) vs Rothesay Netherwood School (CCM) (2) East

Elliot Bibeau-Rivard and Jeremi Duclos-Claude connected for Stanstead’s opening goal just under four minutes into play. Drew Moores would get RNS back into contention after a miscalculation was made behind Stanstead’s goal. In the second, Arthur Morand’s point shot would find its way through traffic to grant RNS their first lead. However, in the late stages of the second, Alex Lichnovsky and Maveric Thisdelle would score back-to-back to restore the Spartans’ lead. Stanstead would hold on to this lead in the third. RNS would come close with a late penalty shot chance to tie it up,p but Zachary Poitras (13/15) would lay down the paddle to deny any comeback.

Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3/OT) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (2) U17 Prep

Bladen Norton (2G) scored the first and lone tally just before the start of intermission. Maxwell Parker (1G, 1A) would reset things in the second for Calgary IHA while Axton Kohut-Hunt sprung them ahead in the third. Shortly after the lead change, a loose puck in close would find Jacob Hollevoet’s stick as he potted the game-tying goal with ease. In overtime, a poor Calgary IHA line change gave Norton a free run at goal, where he would roof his second for the GWG. Pilot Mound defeats Calgary IHA after falling 9-2 to them on Saturday.

Edge School (5/SO) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (4) U18 Prep

After an error behind the net, Brady Luttmerding (1G, 2A) would give Edge the initial lead. A similar scenario would happen early in the second as Luke Bodtker (1G, 1A) doubled Edge School’s lead. Max Ranseth and Evan Lynch would add another quick two for Edge before the end of the second, looking to put this one out of reach. Cole Ewonchuk (1G, 1A) would get one back for RHA Winnipeg with 7 seconds left in the middle frame, and this goal would prove crucial. Brady Filmon (2G, 1A) would score on an early power play, then strike shorthanded later in the third to cut the RHA Winnipeg deficit to one. Later in the frame, Colton Ross would deflect home the game-tying goal, coming back all the way from 4-0 down. RHA Winnipeg would receive a power play in overtime but could not find an answer for Lane Bullee (30/34). In the shootout, Bullee would go 3/3 in goal while Bodtker capitalized on a slick move for the game-winner.

North Shore Warriors Orange (0) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (8) Women’s U18 Prep

NAX ended their weekend on a strong note, potting 8 in their Sunday win over NSW Orange. Addison Cunningham (2G, 1A) and Reese VanderMeer (2G) led the charge with a pair of goals each while Makenzie Levesque (3A) chipped in with three helpers. Audrey Tong picked up the 7-save shutout in the win.

Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (2/OT) vs Notre Dame Hounds (1) Women’s U18 Prep

If you want to find this game’s first goal, you would have to fast-forward all the way to the third, as both teams were in a deadlock for the opening forty. Five minutes into the third, Lyliah Savich (2G) would get OHA Black on the board with her third of the season. Later in the frame, Makenna Malm tied things back up with her second of the weekend. Overtime was needed and was the audience ever in for a treat. Savich would take it all on herself, playing patiently with the puck, dancing around her defender and taking it around the net before burying the wraparound for a spectacular overtime winner. With that OTW, Savich is now tied for second in goals in the Women’s U18 Prep division.

Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (5/OT) U17

NAX would kick things off with a two-goal advantage halfway through the first as Colby Crone and Mason Zimmer struck just over a minute apart. Dylan Bye (1G, 1A) was able to get one back for Prairie before the end of the first. Kaden Strutt and Reed Fellows would exchange goals early in the second before Carson Gutek (2G, 1A) scored back-to-back for Prairie, giving them a 4-3 edge through forty. In the third, Tyler DeGraves would net the lone goal, forcing overtime. In OT, Titan Sauter (1G, 2A) would secure the win for Prairie. Riley Kwasniuk (32/36) made 32 saves in the OTW.

Notre Dame Hounds (1) vs OHA Edmonton (4) U15

A couple of jam plays in tight sparked the early 2-0 lead for OHA Edmonton. John Vervoordt would get Notre Dame on the board before the ice was cleared, wiring home his first of the season on the power play. Samuel Aubin (54/58) was keeping the Hounds alive in this contest, stopping all 16 shots faced in the second to keep things a one-goal deficit. However, OHA Edmonton would come through again in the third as Miles Weisgerber labelled one for the back of the net on a quick rush, making this game 3-1. Huxley Kehler (2G, 1A) would add OHA Edmonton’s fourth with 11 seconds left in the contest.

Prairie Hockey Academy (0) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (9) U15 Prep

Dalton Sherwick (1G, 3A) led the NAX charge in a 9-0 victory over Prairie, scoring a goal and three helpers. Myer Hipkins (2G) would also score a pair of goals while Augustine Paziuk picked up his first U15 Prep goal in a call-up from the U15 team. Marek Swanson made 10 saves for the shutout.

Prairie Hockey Academy (2) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (7) U18 Prep

After Saturday’s thriller, Prairie and SAHA would face off once again to close out their opening weekend. Ronin Martin (1G, 1A) would open the scoring, blasting home a ricochet off the back boards. Kyan Vansandt (2G, 1A) would bury SAHA’s second in his U18 Prep call-up after a successful start in U17 Prep. Less than a minute later, last night’s shootout hero Cohenn Rotar (1G, 1A) would snipe home SAHA’s third. Soren Hayden would get one back for Prairie in the second with a blistering wrist shot, but Medicine Hat Tigers prospect Max Osgood (1G, 1A) would quickly restore SAHA’s three-goal lead. SAHA would bury another three in the third to cap off a 7-2 victory. Chase Nielson picked up 28 saves in his season debut.

Calgary International Hockey Academy (11) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) U18 Prep

After falling to NAX 4-3 on Saturday, Calgary IHA wanted to pick up the slack in their rematch on Sunday… and the offence was clicking. Calgary IHA’s power play nearly operated at 100%, going 6/7 in their 11-4 victory. Cole Chudyk (2G, 1A), Chad Clark (2G, 1A) and Jacob Pidde (2G, 1A) each recorded two goals and a helper while Aidan McIntosh (1G, 2A), Easton Berry (1G, 2A) and Kai Dingwall (1G, 2A) achieved the opposite. Colton Lutz (35/39) made 35 saves in the redemption victory.

Shawnigan Lake School (4) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (12) U15 Prep

RHA Kelowna’soffencee took off in their Sunday tilt with Shawnigan. Ajax Smith (3G, 3A) took charge on the scoresheet, picking up a massive six points,s while Sidney Ritchie (2G, 2A) and Hendrik Hesselgrave (2G, 2A) supplied two goals and two helpers each. KaYamamototo (1G, 1A) and Liam McNaughton (1G, 1A) would acquire a goal and assist each in the losing effort.

Shawnigan Lake School (2) vs STAR Hockey Academy (3) U18 Prep

With the weekend series tied at 1-1, either Shawnigan or STAR wanted to take home bragging rights. Adam Neilson (1G, 1A) would get things ignited for STAR, burying his second of the season off a Shawnigan turnover. The same can be said for Cam Hoggan’s (1G, 1A) goal in the second as an arrant pass found its way to the slot, right in Hoggan’s wheelhouse. Shawnigan would get to work with some power plays later in the second. Sammy Hoeft (1G, 1A) would kick things off with hard-nosed play in the hash marks while Darwin Ketch (1G, 1A) picked his spot from the left circle. All tied going into the third, STAR would end up taking back their lead thanks to a blistering point shot from Jaden Mack. Mack’s tally would be the difference maker as STAR takes the weekend series two games to one over Shawnigan.

Bishop’s College School (CCM) (6) vs Fort Erie International Academy (CCM) (1) East

The Fort Erie International Academy had followed up a disappointing loss on Friday with a dramatic shootout win over Kuper Academy, while Bishop’s College School had the opposite trajectory on Friday and Saturday, with a win Friday followed up by a shootout loss last night. By the game’s halfway mark on Sunday, Bishop’s had done enough damage to Fort Erie for BCS to remain confident in their run of staving off a regulation loss in every game so far this season. Henry Bassuk had scored two to make it 4-0 Bishop’s, and while Fort Erie stemmed the tide of the Bishop’s attack, they couldn’t make a palpable comeback effort, with Bishop’s prevailing 6-1.

Okanagan Hockey Academy (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (2) U17

RINK Hockey Kelowna’s solitary loss this season had come in their second game, a loss to the Pacific Coast Hockey Academy that they’d since followed up with four straight wins heading into Sunday’s clash with the Okanagan Hockey Academy. The two U17 sides faced off last Wednesday, with Kelowna taking a 5-4 contest in a shootout. Sunday’s game was about as close as that one, with the two sides finishing three periods with the shots on goal at a 37-34 mark, and the score within one goal. Reed Witham opened the scoring for Kelowna in the first period, before Reece Verrier hit the net with an equalizer minutes later, sending the game into the break tied at one. The game remained held at that scoreline until the clock had ticked to under nine minutes left in the third, with Owen Magness (1G, 1A) breaking through to make it 2-1 OHA. An Okanagan power play could have put the game beyond Kelowna, but a Declan Smith counterattack led to a shorthanded goal for Kelowna to tie the game at two, which seemingly poised the game for overtime. However, OHA broke through with 91 seconds left, with Lux Naka burying a chance in front of the net to give Okanagan the breakthrough that stood as the game-winner.

Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (0) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (12) U17 Prep

The Pacific Coast Hockey Academy’s U17 Prep squad had followed a loss in their season opener against Shawnigan Lake with five consecutive wins before Sunday against Wenatchee, with the two teams having already played their first of a back-to-back on Saturday at the Westhills Arena. Trent Porter led the way with six points on Saturday, and he’d be one of many to make a massive impact Sunday. Porter had a goal and four assists, with two goals apiece from Nixon Szadkowski (2G, 1A), Cole Gann (2G, 2A0, and Maximus Scheffer (2G, 2A) doing the requisite damage in what ended up as a 12-0 Sea Devils victory.

Selwyn House School (1) vs Bourget College (4) (CCM) East

Bourget College went into Sunday’s clash with Selwyn House School riding the high of their first win of the season, a well-fought victory over Bishop’s on Saturday. They’d take that momentum into Sunday, scoring two first-period goals within 43 seconds of one another to take a quick 2-0 lead, thanks to Mathieu Passerini and Justin Boudreau (1G, 1A). Selwyn grabbed one back in the second, but Bourget’s dominance was embodied in the 64-24 shots-on-goal margin they had by the game’s end. After Welwyn scored, Bourget grabbed two more, and Jakob Cyr (23/24) made 16 saves on 17 shots over the final forty minutes to secure his team the win.

North Shore Warriors (5/OT) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (4) U15 Prep

The North Shore Warriors’ U15 Prep squad followed up a season-opening loss with a massive Saturday night victory over Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy, the same team they’d play Sunday in the second half of a back-to-back weekend. Down 2-1 in the second period, Coeur d’Alene’s TJ Podollan (3G) took over. Podollan scored 53 in the U15 division last year and would complete a natural hat-trick in barely eight minutes to give his team a 4-2 lead through forty minutes. However, a shorthanded goal early in the third from Mason Stanton (1G, 1A) gave North Shore life, with Stanton factoring in on the equalizer as well, with his shot deflected home by Wesley Mayor (1G, 1A) to square the game at four with 13 seconds left. Mayor would then provide the primary assist in overtime, with Langdon Moore taking his pass, darting to the middle of the offensive zone, and beating Daniel Horodecki (37/42) with a wrist shot to complete North Shore’s comeback OT win.

STAR Hockey Academy (1) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (8) U17 Prep

Saturday night between the STAR Hockey Academy and Okanagan Hockey Academy’s U17 Prep squads ended as a twelve-goal thriller, with a run of seven goals in less than eight minutes lifting OHA to an eventual 8-4 win. Sunday, unfortunately for STAR, wasn’t as close. OHA didn’t need such a run to elevate themselves to victory, with Nathan Marques’ hat-trick leading the way and Jonas Seidel (1G, 1A), Eric Kovacs (1G, 1A), Luke Caldwell, and Hunter Ryan all picking up a goal apiece in an 8-1 OHA win.

Ontario Hockey Academy (CCM) (4) vs Okanagan Hockey Ontario (CCM) (1). East

Okanagan Hockey Ontario’s weekend hadn’t been what they wanted marching into Sunday, and unfortunately for them, the Ontario Hockey Academy were riding a wave of momentum they’d built on Saturday with a win over Rothesay Netherwood School. Although they only hit the net once in the first period, they dominated it entirely, outshooting Okanagan Hockey Ontario 20-2 in the first twenty minutes. Mykyta Staskevych scored in the first, with Gianni Sasso and Taras Tyshkovets scoring within the first five minutes of the second to extend OHA’s lead to 3-0. In the end, OHA won 4-1, outshooting OHO 55-22 in the process.

Calgary International Hockey Academy (4) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (3) U15

The Calgary International Hockey Academy and RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg’s U15 squads played a best-of-three series this weekend, starting with a 3-2 CIHA win on Friday, before RHA Winnipeg took a 4-3 overtime contest on Saturday. Sunday was the contest to decide which team took the series, and in that pursuit, the two teams played a frantic and high-event first period. It ended with a 3-2 RINK Winnipeg lead despite CIHA’s edge in shots on goal, with Olivier Tisnic beaten thrice on nine shots. Tisnic, however, was perfect from there, stopping all 27 shots over the final forty minutes, and his team rewarded him in kind. Jack Blair (2G, 1A) and Sawyer Grierson (1G, 1A) scored six minutes apart in the second period to give CIHA the lead, and they wouldn’t look back from there, hanging on to best Winnipeg in another tightly-fought clash.

South Alberta Hockey Academy (7) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (2) U15 Prep

The Calgary International Hockey Academy and South Alberta Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep squads had a Saturday and Sunday back-to-back this weekend, with SAHA’s season finally getting underway against a CIHA squad that had played four games previous to this weekend. Calgary won three of those four coming in, and would take the clash with SAHA on Saturday by a 4-2 scoreline. Sunday, however, flipped the script. Despite only hitting the opposition net with 20 shots, SAHA made good on their chances. Rowan Oddie (1G, 1A) and Gavin Mackow’s goals had SAHA up two before the first intermission, and while CIHA would fit back in the second, SAHA kept their foot on the gas heading into the third. Carson Lamotte (3G, 1A) ended up with two in the second and one to start the third, with three points from Declan Okell (1G, 2A) and 23 saves on 25 shots for Hunter Knoll leading SAHA to the big win.

STAR Hockey Academy (4) vs Delta Hockey Academy (6) U17

STAR Hockey Academy bested the Delta Hockey Academy in the U17 division on Saturday in the first of a back-to-back series, following three consecutive wins over Couer d’Alene to kick off their schedule. Delta won four of five in September, but had lost 5-4 at the hands of STAR on Saturday. It looked like their fate against STAR on Sunday might be heading in a similar direction, with an Edrick Himley power-play goal for STAR in the third period giving them a 4-3 lead. That, unfortunately for STAR, was where the winds changed. Lukas Kravcak’s (1G, 1A) sixth goal of the season already levelled the score at four, with Wynn Carey (1G, 2A) finding the go-ahead goal with 6:15 to play in the third to give Delta their first lead of the game. Toni Cipllaka (1G, 1A) sealed the comeback win for Delta late.

BWC Academy (5) vs St. George’s School (3) U17 Prep

Six consecutive U17 Prep wins to start the season for BWC Academy predated Sunday’s clash with St. George’s School. SGS had already fallen at the hands of BWC in bothteams’s first game of the season and had yet to put one in the win column as of yet, losing both of the following two games. They’d perform very well on Sunday, taking the lead over BWC on three separate occasions, but ultimately couldn’t finish it off. After Minsoo Lee (1G, 1A) had given St. George’s a lead in the third, Kaz Westcott tied the game (1G, 1A) before providing the primary assist on Max Joseph’s (1G, 1A) game-winning goal just minutes later. Tyson Oake stopped 28 of 31 for the win.

St. George’s School (2) vs BWC Academy (4) U15 Prep

BWC Academy’s U15 team won a thriller over Yale to start their season off right, but fell at the hands of Delta in their second. Sunday brought them St. George’s School, a squad riding high after two wins over Coeur d’Alene to start the season. After a scoreless first period, the two teams went back and forth in the second, first trading power-play goals from Sullivan Shoucair (1G, 2A) and Asher Rogachevsky, and then Mars Zhang (2G, 1A) and Emerson Papadatos, with St. George’s responding both times BWC took the lead. That wouldn’t be the case in the third period, though, with Mitchell Wilson’s early third-period goal for BWC ultimately unresponded to. Zhang added his second to seal the deal, with BWC’s Grayson Kennard stopping 49 of 51 for the win.

Notre Dame Hounds (2) vs OHA Edmonton (12) U15 Prep

No secrets in this one, as a view of the scoreline and shots on goal margins tell the game’s story. OHA Edmonton began the game by outshooting Notre Dame 31-6 in the first period, a margin that would end at 76-10. Reid Hartmann (3G, 1A) scored a hat trick; Kingston Ireland (2G, 3A) and Deacon Gillespie (1G, 4A) ended with five points each, and OHA Edmonton grabbed a pair of goals each from Brody Matthews (2G, 1A) and Brody Schwartz (2G, 2A) in the 12-2 win.

North Shore Warriors (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (4) U18 Prep

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna’s U18 Prep squad could have folded over after Otto Puhakka (1G, 1A) scored in the second period to make it 3-1 North Shore, but rather, their pushback efforts sunk the Warriors. Alexander Sharman (1G, 1A) pulled Kelowna back within one before the second was over, and Kaius Millan (1G, 2A) scored 37 seconds into the third to tie the game at three. With the entire third period for the winner to be decided, the wind was in RINK Kelowna’s sails, with Jack Leslie making it 4-3 Kelowna less than five minutes after Millan had tied it. Ashton Sims stopped 26 of 29 for the win, including 10 saves on 10 shots in the third period for the 4-3 win.

Lower Canada College (2) vs CIH Academy (3/SO) (CCM) East.

A pair of Lower Canada College go-ahead goals wouldn’t provide leads they’d be able to retain on Sunday against CIH Academy. Both Ethan Florian’s 1-0 goal and Harry Miller’s shorthanded strike for LCC were nullified by Tsimafei Safronau and Matteo Arriaga (1G, 1A) tying the game in the second and third periods, respectively, for CIH. Nikita Lozhenitsyn opened the shootout with a goal for CIH, and from there, Timofey Vasilyev (43/45) shut the door. Lower Canada College couldn’t score on three shootout attempts, with Lozhenitsyn’s goal enough to lift CIH Academy to victory.

Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (2) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (6) U17

The Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy went into Sunday still in search of their first U17 win of the season, heading into the second half of a weekend back-to-back with a Pacific Coast Hockey Academy squad that had bested them 5-2 on Saturday. Their contest on Sunday unfolded in a remarkably similar fashion on the scoreboard, but the first period could have set the game on a very different trajectory. Coeur d’Alene outshot PCHA 21-8 in the first, but Sea Devils netminder Liam Brown (42/44) stopped all 21, and his attackers repaid him for it. Jamie Davidson (1G, 1A), Matthew Lavoie, and Mason Sokolosky hit the back of the net in the first for PCHA to establish an early 3-0 lead, which they’d build on from there. A pair of PCHA power-play goals in the second from Jacob Gillie and Rowan Hodgson lifted them further, and two Connor Ross goals from CDA couldn’t make a dent in PCHA’s win.

Shawnigan Lake School (7) vs North Shore Warriors (2) U17 Prep

Shawnigan Lake School’s U17 Prep contingent had bounced back from a game one loss with three straight wins, the latest on Saturday night against the North Shore Warriors. That loss for North Shore was their fourth in a row after winning their first game of the season, with the Warriors hungry for a result on Sunday. Two first-period goals from Lucas Patridge-Mather sent Shawnigan on a path to another win, with Chase Murgatroyd adding to it, scoring his first of what would end up being a pair of goals. Shawnigan’s Berkeley Walter picked up the win with 32 saves on 34 shots for Shawnigan, with two goals from the Warriors ultimately not enough to make a dent in Shawnigan’s win.

Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (2) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (4) U18 Prep

The Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy had their goaltender, Mason McDougall, to thank for keeping them in Friday’s game against Coeur d’Alene. CDA outshot Wenatchee 14-7 in the first and 24-7 in the second, but through two periods, remained tied at two. However, the dominance was only ratcheted up in the third. Matej Bydzovsky scored his second of the game with 12 minutes left in the third to give CDA the lead, and with the Wings ultimately outshooting the Wild 20-2 in the third, h  did enough to lift his team to victory, putting the icing on the cake by completing his hat-trick into an empty net.

BWC Academy (6) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (4) U18 Prep

Okanagan Hockey Academy led 1-0 and 2-1 in their game Sunday against BWC Academy, but even as they trailed at the halfway point, BWC didn’t stop pushing back. They ultimately outshot OHA 65-44 in the game and broke through in the second half of the game. Ryan Fox (3G) and Justin Moon scored less than two minutes apart in the second period’s back half to turn the deficit into a BWC lead, and while OHA would score first in the third, BWC took a two-goal lead from there. Fox’s second of three goals in the game came before Braydon McCrorie’s strike. Fox would hit the empty net to complete his hat-trick. Cole Chura made 40 saves for the win.

Yale Hockey Academy (2) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (4) U15 Prep

A goal of individual brilliance from Killian Wall (1G, 1A) in the first period gave Yale the game’s first lead, but from there, the Okanagan Hockey Academy pushed back, doing so effectively. After turning the game around in the second, Mason Liebel scored his seventh goal in five games to make it 3-2 OHA in the third. Oakley Speckman stopped 28 of 30 in the win.

Notre Dame Hounds (4) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (1) U17 Prep

Prairie Hockey Academy started their U17 Prep season with a back-to-back against the South Alberta Hockey Academy, a weekend that saw them fall 7-2 in the first and prevail 4-3 in a shootout in the second of the two games. Notre Dame had won two of three heading into Sunday, and would continue into their clash with Prairie riding that momentum. Two goals in 35 seconds early in the second period were Notre Dame’s jumping-off point, with goals from Knox Valentine and Alex Krylov giving the Hounds a 2-0 lead through two periods. Gento Ishiyama provided Notre Dame with insurance in the third, with goaltender Santiago Schyns-Munoz stopping 32 of 33 in the 4-1 win.
